(Al-Baqara) 2 : 127

And you remember Ibrahim along with Ismael raised the wall on the foundation for the House and prayed. “Our Lord! Accept this from us, indeed, You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing”.

Ka’bah is the first House of worship on earth from the time of the first man Adam. Its entire walls were destroyed in the flood at the time of Messenger Noah. Lord commanded both Prophets, Ibrahim and Ismael, to reconstruct that wall. It is told in verse 22: 26, “Remember that We pointed out the foundation of the House to Ibrahim to construct a House saying: “Don’t associate anything with Me” and you purify My House for those who encompass It around, and those who stand there praying and bowing on their knee and prostrating”.

This verse teaches that any deed should be done only for the sake of the Lord, and one should pray to Him with the soul to accept that deed. Otherwise, the deed will be for the sake of Satan. But intellectuals will only remember the Lord in all their standing, sitting, and laying as told in verses 3: 190-191 and 39: 17-18, and will pray to Lord with the soul. Any physical deed without the participation of the soul will not be accepted; instead, it will be a cause for punishment as told in verses 25: 65-66 and 107: 4-6. See explanation 1: 4 and 4: 100.
